BYO alcohol, chair and friends and join some of Queensland’s favourite Opera stars for an afternoon of cherished musical highlights in the picturesque Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens

Please note: PLASTIC GLASSES ONLY for BYO. You are able to bring bottled alcohol but you must not leave the event area with open bottles.



3 April 2022, 2pm - gates open at 12.30pm




Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens - Brisbane



  1. Patrons will be directed to the main carpark (P1) for the Brisbane Botanical Gardens until this has been filled.

  2. Parking Attendants will then direct Patrons to the Overflow carpark (P2) immediately across Mount Coot-tha Road from the Gardens Entryway.

  3. If both carparks are filled, Patrons will be directed to proceed 1.3 kilometers up Mount Coot-tha Road and Scenic Drive to parking area (P3) used during Legacy Way construction.


Shuttle Buses running in a continuous loop will bring Patrons back to the Planetarium Bus Stop inside the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.  The Shuttle Buses will operate after the Opera to return Patrons to their cars.

In the event of mild or light rain during the performance, the event will continue. 


The Opera in the Gardens is a COVID-19 safe event and will operate in line with Government advice. Please do not attend the Opera in the Gardens if you:

  • are required to isolate or quarantine under laws aimed at reducing the spread of Covid-19 (and the event falls within the isolation/quarantine period);

  • are diagnosed as having Covid-19;

  • exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 (e.g. fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of sense of smell) (‘Covid Symptoms’);

  • have been in close contact with anyone displaying Covid Symptoms; or

  • have been tested for Covid-19 and are awaiting the results (and the event falls within the period of awaiting test results).
